Michelle investigates and litigates white collar matters and complex civil disputes.
She has represented and advised clients in sensitive investigations and cases involving the U.S. Department of Justice, various U.S. Attorney’s Offices, and other state and federal regulators. She has experience representing domestic and foreign clients in both criminal and complex commercial matters.
Michelle has been a member of trial teams in both federal and state courts, including a multiple-defendant fraud trial in the Southern District of New York. Prior to joining Clark Smith Villazor LLP, Michelle clerked for Senior District Court Judge Kiyo A. Matsumoto in the Eastern District of New York.
During law school, Michelle interned with the criminal trial divisions of The Legal Aid Society and The Bronx Defenders. Michelle also served as an Essays Editor on the Columbia Law Review, and as a teaching assistant to then-Columbia University President, Lee Bollinger.
Government Service
From 2022 to 2023, Michelle clerked for Senior District Court Judge Kiyo A. Matsumoto in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York.
